Pranksters Rebrand Hollywood Sign As 'Hollyweed'
Hollyweed Stars and Celebrities: What Do They Know? Do They Know Things??Let's Find Out!
With a few tarps, the iconic Hollywood sign has was altered to read: Hollyweed. Surveillance video captured the alleged trespasser at the sign around 3 a.m.. It took about an hour and a half to hang the white and black tarps that changed the O's into E's. Meaning they were finishing up around 4:20. Nice.
The prank follows the passing of Proposition 64, which legalizes the use of recreational marijuana beginning in 2018. This isn't the first time the sign has been a visual for pro-marijuana legislation. It was similarly altered in 1976 to acknowledge a different marijuana decriminalization law.
While the internet laughs, Montel Williams isn't amused.
Yeah, well, that's just, like, your opinion, man. Mindy Kaling came around:
nothing is stupider than hollyweed

Wait no forget it, hollyweed is hilarious

Anyway, it was good while it lasted. The sign was restored this morning, and according to CBS Los Angeles, it "remains unclear who was involved in the incident, which was being investigated as a misdemeanor charge of trespassing."
