Justin Bieber Goes Buck-Naked On Instagram For Some Reason (NSFW)

One year ago, Congress defunded public media. Now that we're 100% community funded, please become a sustaining member or increase your existing membership today.

Justin Bieber's on vacation in Bora Bora right now, and he's sharing everything he's doing with fans on Instagram—including that very special moment yesterday when he went completely naked and bared his soul...er his butt to the world.

For some reason, the "All Around the World" singer posted this image of his naked backside, while he stood on a boat, pointing towards the mountains. It was accompanied by the word, "Look." Look at the mountains or look at your butt?? Oh, you got us good, Bieber!

We're not sure what his reasoning is behind the post. Maybe it's a conversation piece about Chrissy Teigen's recent Instagram battle to free her nipple on the social media platform or maybe he wanted to be "drawn like one of your French girls."

Whatever the reason, Miley Cyrus noticed it and spent some time last night, along with the rest of the internet, mocking #bieberbutt. She first posted an Instagram photo of a close-up of Rihanna's behind in a thong bathing suit, and then a close-up of Bieber's hiney, accompanied by the words, "Bieber VS Rihanna." But she didn't stop there:

We're wondering how long Instagram will let these photos stay up, since they did take down Teigen's several attempts to post her nipple photo, in her #freethenipple campaign. Instagram's policy says "close-ups of fully-nude buttocks" aren't okay, so we're not sure if they'll let this one fly. In the meantime, the photo has inspired hashtag activism under the banner of #freethebutt.

One year ago, Congress voted to defund public media, eliminating a critical $1.7 million from our budget every year going forward. But they couldn’t silence us, and we’re not going anywhere. LAist is now 100% community funded and that means we’re taking our future into our own hands and turning to you to keep local reporting strong.
