Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt's courtship wasn't exactly what you'd call "fairytale," but it was the sort of stuff that Hollywood was built on. Looks, fame, dubious talent, and scandal plagued the couple who met, and married, on the MTV faux-reality show "The Hills."No matter how questionable the "reality" of the show was (case in point the series' finale) the papers Montag, 23, filed in Santa Monica yesterday were real. The plastic surgery-enthusiast and would-be pop star/actress is seeking divorce from Pratt, 26, "citing irreconcilable differences," reports KTLA.

When the spotlight-seeking duo known as Speidi began to experience troubles earlier this year, Montag's rep told gossip site TMZ that she was looking to move away from Pratt and had grown tired of "all the fake bad press" her husband was behind. For his part, in a 2009 interview with LAist, Pratt said: "There's no such thing as bad press. You can call me a narcissist all day long in relation to fame because fame pays my bills. "

Who won't be paying Pratt's bills? His soon-to-be ex-wife. "In the divorce filing, she asked the court to deny spousal support to Pratt."
