Driver of Truck Lindsay Lohan Crashed Into Claims She Tried to Flee The Scene
The driver of the truck that LiLo crashed into yesterday on the Pacific Coast Highway is claiming that her people tried to buy his silence and help her flee the scene of the crash.
James (who is only giving his first name) went on camera for TMZ to talk about what it's like being hit by LiLo.
James told TMZ he noticed that a Cadillac Escalade had been trailing the Porsche. Shortly after the crash, it looked like the occupants of the Porsche were hopping into the Cadillac. Since it seemed like they might flee the scene, he called 9-1-1. That's when someone from the Cadillac approached James and said that they wanted to keep news of the crash quiet since someone famous was involved. But the cops were already on their way.
James said he also noticed the man who was Lohan's assistant filling up a mysterious pink bag with something and then burying it under a pile of clothes.
He told TMZ: "But I'd already called 911 because they were trying to get away from the scene. But they packed a bag and then the [Escalade] driver told me, 'Don't mention the bag to the cops.'" The starlet's rep insists, however, "Lindsay is cooperating fully with law enforcement. She has answered all their questions and provided them with everything they have asked for."
Lohan has already had a lot of trouble behind the wheel of a car. She was arrested for two DUIs in 2006, and once she was caught with cocaine. Neither Lohan nor her assistant showed any signs of being under the influence, but police are still investigating what might have caused the crash. Lohan says the truck driver James cut her off.
