Danny DeVito and Rhea Perlman Are Together But Separate (But Together)
It was the split heard 'round the world, stunning generations: Danny DeVito and Rhea Perlman announced in October they were calling it quits after 40 years together, including 30 as a married couple. Now rumor has it the pair are patching things up, or at least trying to.
It's not inconceivable that a 40-year relationship is extremely hard to dissolve and get over, which is maybe why DeVito told a reporter at an L.A. event this week that he and Perlman weren't exactly o-v-e-r: "Rhea and I are really close. Actually, still together, just separate, but together," he said, according to TMZ. The actor added, in response to the inquiry of the possibility of reconciliation: "We're working on it."
DeVito is rumored to have been a bit of a philanderer; he apparently seduced a young extra by promising her he'd make her famous.
