Artist Buff Monster loves pink, and pink is predominant on this wall piece spotted a couple of weeks ago by via the LAist Featured Photos pool contributor Lord Jim. "Influenced by Japanese popular culture, Buff Monster fills his super flat paintings with ice cream cones, smiles, surreal landscapes, hearts, cherries, bunnies, boobs, and heavy metal imagery. These disparate images find a home in his super happy pink world," wrote LAist Lifestyle Editor Julie Wolfson of the artist, who talked to LAist in September 2010 ahead of his show at the Corey Helford Gallery. This mural, at 650 N. Hoover Street shows that things are still all about the pink.
