There are few things more delightful than watching David Hasselhoff in his original role as Mitch Buchannon on "Baywatch," but if Paramount has its way, there will soon be a new lifeguard in town...and his name, friends, is Justin Timberlake.

According to Twitch, Paramount is seriously looking into doing a remake of the 1990s TV show that followed the lives L.A. County lifeguards, and as the leading man, they're hoping to snag the very gent who once brought sexy back.

Seems appropriate, no?

Twitch goes on to note that Timberlake would play a "disgraced former Olympic swimmer who tries out for the Baywatch crew." A nod to Michael Phelps, perhaps, had Subway sandwiches not retained his services?
