Bike Art + Craft Beer = An Awesome Saturday Night with ARTCRANK-LA

Truth matters. Community matters. Your support makes both possible. LAist is one of the few places where news remains independent and free from political and corporate influence. Stand up for truth and for LAist. Make your year-end tax-deductible gift now.

ARTCRANK, a poster art exhibition and party dedicated to promoting bike culture in various cities, originated in Minneapolis in 2007, and made its debut in LA last year. ARTCRANK-LA returns tomorrow (Nov. 9) for its show at Space 15 Twenty from 4-10 pm featuring the works of more than 30 LA artists and designers.

Artists/collectives included in ARTCRANK-LA are: Adam Janusz & Shane Nehring, Alex Meiners, Andrew Holder, Amy de Leon, Ashira Siegel, Brian Johnson, Cache, Coby Gewertz, Dennis Bredow, Eyeone, Hero Handmade Goods, Joshua Hernandez, Julie Ziah, Justin Kizzart, LEEN, Leslie Kim, The Little Friends of Printmaking, Marco Zamora, Megan Lockhart, Mikolaj Wyszynski, Monica Heitz, Nicholas Zegel, Rob Brooks, Ron Thompson, Sarah Ehlinger, SEIZER-ONE, Swank One, Tom Gundred, Tommii Lim and Two Rabbits Studios.

The limited-edition, signed and numbered copies of hand-made, bike-inspired posters sell for $40 each. And if the art isn’t enough to entice you to come out, sales of a $5 craft beer glass from Widmer Bros will benefit local non-profit LA Streetsblog.

Admission to ARTCRANK-LA is free.

You come to LAist because you want independent reporting and trustworthy local information. Our newsroom doesn’t answer to shareholders looking to turn a profit. Instead, we answer to you and our connected community. We are free to tell the full truth, to hold power to account without fear or favor, and to follow facts wherever they lead. Our only loyalty is to our audiences and our mission: to inform, engage, and strengthen our community.

Right now, LAist has lost $1.7M in annual funding due to Congress clawing back money already approved. The support we receive before year-end will determine how fully our newsroom can continue informing, serving, and strengthening Southern California.
