There will be weekend spectaculars and fireworks, Tuesday/Thursday classical nights, Wednesday jazz performances, and Sunday "Sunset" Concerts as well as alternative and world music. Gustavo Dudamel returns for a fourth season and a release from LA Phil notes, "This season Gustavo's programs celebrate the 200th anniversary of the birth of Giuseppe Verdi with performances of his Requiem and a concert presentation of his renowned opera Aida."
The weekends will feature performances by Pink Martini, Willie Nelson, Tony Bennett, Kristin Chenoweth, Blue Man Group and Earth Wind & Fire. The KCRW world festival artists on Sundays will include a fully-staged production of Chicago, M83 with the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra, She & Him with Emmylou Harris & Rodney Crowell and Rodrigo y Gabriela with DeVotchKa. The Jazz at the Bowlseries will include Sergio Mendes and Herb Alpert & Lani Hall, Queen Latifah, Natalie Cole, Buddy Guy, George Benson and even Steve Martin.
There will be some special performances, too. On July 4, there will be a fireworks spectacular that features Josh Groban with the LA Phil. And there will also be a tribute to the Oscars and ABBA.
