Dynamite Found In Eagle Rock Home Turns Out To Old Movie Props
An Eagle Rock resident doing some spring cleaning made a surprising discovery in his garage—what appeared to be old sticks of dynamite. The sticks were found in the garage of a home on the 2400 block of Hill Drive, near Windermere Avenue, just after 2:30 p.m. LAPD bomb squad reported to the scene and took eight sticks of dynamite, and officers evacuated surrounding homes as a perimeter was established.
The evacuation order was lifted just before 5 p.m. when it was determined the sticks of dynamite were just old movie props, according to KTLA.
Officers did not say whether or not an old-timey wind-up alarm clock was found alongside the sticks.
