Tonight and tomorrow night, the LAPD will be conducting a couple DUI checkpoints around the city. "Our Message is simple: If we catch you drunk, you will be arrested," they say.

So far this year, the North Hollywood Division has experienced 87 driving under the influence related and 667 “Hit and Run” traffic collisions. In Hollywood, there have been 66 driving under influence-related and 662 hit and run traffic collisions. To that end, DUI checkpoints will be set up in North Hollywood at Vineland Avenue and Burbank Boulevard tonight and next week Friday at Highland Avenue and Willoughby Avenue. Additionally, one will be set up tonight by the California Highway Patrol at Colorado and Rosemead boulevards in Pasadena.

And beware rush hour drivers, these checkpoints begin at 6 p.m., according to police.

Tomorrow night, a checkpoint will be set up in Venice at Lincoln Boulevard and Lucille Avenue (near Venice Blvd.) from 7:30 p.m.- 3:00 a.m.
