DUI Checkpoint in West Hollywood Tonight
If you're getting your celebration on a little ahead of New Year's Eve, or, it's just one of those "hey, yay, it's Thursday, let's drink!" things, and you are going to be in or traveling through West Hollywood, take note. There will be a DUI and drivers' license checkpoint running between 6 p.m. and 2 a.m. at an unspecified location.
Tonight's checkpoint is being conducted by personnel from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department's Risk Management Bureau, with a goal of ensuring that all motorists have a proper license, as well as to get intoxicated drivers off the roads in order to maintain public safety. Much like with the LAPD-run checkpoints, the LASD's WeHo checkpoint tonight "is to increase awareness of the dangers or impaired driving and to encourage sober
designated drivers."
