Ryan Holiday a self-described "media manipulator for notorious clients like Tucker Max and Dov Charney" has landed a pretty penny for a book deal.

The $500K that the 24-year-old Holiday landed is leading some to wonder if this will be the Dov Charney tell-all that we've all hoped and dreamed for (it seems like Tucker Max already did that for himself). The book is tentatively titled "Confessions of a Media Hit Man."

Holiday dropped out of college when he was 20 and moved out to Los Angeles to work for Tucker Max, but now he's skipped town to work on his book in New Orleans. Here's what he has to say about it:

What’s next for me is a book. I’ve already begun working on it. Some of the ideas of already been floating around on here in posts (see: this and this) but it is mostly new material and not what you’d expect of me. This is not the book I’ve dreamed of writing but is the book I HAVE to write now. If I do it right, it will open the door for the former as well.

We're hoping it doesn't turn into self-aggrandizing self-help schlock that both reminds us of Patrick Bateman and the fact that we never landed a half-mil book deal when we were 24.
