In an attempt to identify and arrest a suspect who has been tied to an ongoing series of sexual battery incidents victimizing women, the Long Beach Police Department has released new video footage of an alleged groper on two wheels.

The unidentified male has been linked to several "grabbing" encounters in which the bicycle-riding suspect approaches women on the street and reaches out to grope them he passes by. The incidents began in September, 2012, but ceased in December following the release of video footage showing the suspect on his bicycle.

However, the incidents resumed in early February, and have continued through March. Additionally, new incidents in 2012 were reported after media reports in December on the crimes and the suspect.

Police say the victims range in age from 12 years old to their mid-60s. In all cases the suspect rode up to the victims and grabbed either their breasts or buttocks as he passed by.

New video footage was obtained of the suspect during a March 15, 2013 incident in an alley, and Long Beach Police detectives are hoping someone in the community will recognize him and call police.

The victims have described the suspect as a male White or Hispanic, 5’6" to 6’0” tall, 180-240 lbs., with gray and black hair and ranging in age from 25-50 years-old. However, a majority of the victims pinpoint his age at closer to 35 to 45.
