Ironic t-shirts are funny, right? Sometimes, though, it's not the brightest idea to boast about your success at illegal activity via your t-shirt. Such was the lesson learned by an alleged SoCal sex trafficker, who was busted at a hotel while wearing a t-shirt declaring "I Make Pimpin' Look Easy."34-year-old Martell Davis was arrested by the San Diego Police Department in late July. The Smoking Gun details how Davis was nabbed:

[A] detective located an ad on backpage.com “advertising a female for prostitution” and arranged for a July 26 “date” at the hotel. After negotiating an $80 encounter with the undercover cop, the hooker--a 17-year-old girl--was arrested for prostitution.

The cops then went for the girl's pimp by using her cellphone to contact Davis via text message, posing as the hooker asking guidance on how much to charge for anal intercourse. Through texts, the officer arranged for Davis to come to the hotel. Sure enough, Davis showed up, and, as the investigation report notes, he was wearing his "I Make Pimpin' Look Easy" shirt. Now, did Davis get this for himself, or was it a gag gift? We may never know.

This bright fella also enjoys posting photos of himself on social media smoking spliffs and wearing hotel bathrobes. What pimp doesn't love him some Trump-style hospitality? Aspire, baby, aspire. In the meantime, perhaps Davis should be reminded that when it comes prison style, orange is the new black, after all.
