1 Dead, 3 Suspects at Large Following Shooting Near LAX
A late-morning shooting today outside a hotel near the Los Angeles International Airport has left the victim dead, and up to three suspects on the loose, according to LA Now. At around 11:30 this morning a man and woman were seated inside a Cadillac parked outside the Renaissance Los Angeles Airport Hotel. They were approached by at least one man who fired shots into the vehicle. Residents near the scene say they heard up to eight shots.The man was struck in the right should and in the head, according to the Los Angeles Police Department. The man was taken to Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center in Westwood where he died at about 1:30 p.m. Though the female was initially reported as unhurt, later reports indicate she was injured in the shooting.
Authorities say there are possibly three suspects at large in the shooting who likely fled on foot. No details about their appearance or motive have been made available.
