Sherman Oaks Murder May Have Been at the Hands of Police Impersonators

Around 6 p.m. last night, two men, reportedly in police uniforms, stormed into a Sherman Oaks apartment killing one man in his mid twenties. Police at a regularly scheduled local neighborhood watch meeting soon after the incident told the audience that it also may have been drug related. "The call did come out that the suspects were possibly impersonating an officer," LAPD Capt. Kelly Mulldorfer told reporters at the scene. "I don't have information to substantiate that. But since the call came out that way, that's certainly an angle we're going to be looking at."
The victim, whose name has not been released pending family notification, lived on the third floor of the Regency Gardens Apartments at 5151 Woodman Avenue at the corner of Magnolia Blvd.
