Sheriff's Deputy Arrested On Suspicion of Having Sex on Duty With an Inmate

Jennifer McClain, a 29-year-old Orange County Sheriff's Deputy, was arrested Monday night while on the job on suspicion of having sex with a male inmate at a Santa Ana facility, according to City News Service. The inmate claims the sex was consensual, however the extent of their relationship is not immediately known.McClain is accused of having sex with the inmate at the Intake Release Center; the inmate came forward with the admission that he and McClain engaged in unspecified sex acts in November and December.

OC Sheriff's spokesman Jim Amormino acknowledges that incidents like these harm "all of the men and women of the sheriff's department when someone tarnishes the badge."
