Sheriff's Deputy Arrested For Having Sex With Teen Girl

A 22-year veteran of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department was arrested Thursday evening on suspicion of having engaged in sex with a teenaged girl while he was off-duty. Authorities arrested 43-year-old LASD Deputy John Augustus Rose II on the felony charge of Lewd Acts on a Child 14 or 15 years old, according to the LASD, following an investigation into the alleged illegal activities brought to their attention earlier this month from the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department.
The alleged lewd acts took place between February and June of 2013 while Rose was off-duty.
The LASD relieved Rose without pay Thursday.
