Topline:

A North Hollywood woman charged with selling Matthew Perry the ketamine that killed the actor in 2023 has agreed to plead guilty, according to federal prosecutors.

What do we know about her? Jasveen Sangha will plead guilty to five counts including distribution of ketamine resulting in death or serious bodily injury. Her lawyers did not immediately respond to request for comment.

Who else was charged? Sangha is the fifth and final defendant charged in the overdose death to strike a plea agreement with federal prosecutors. The others are Perry's personal assistant Kenneth Iwamasa, alleged drug dealer Erik Fleming, and doctors Salvador Plasencia and Mark Chavez.

Background: Perry died in October 2023 in his Los Angeles home at the age of 54. The L.A. County medical examiner determined the cause was “acute effects of ketamine.” The star was best known for his role as Chandler Bing on the long-running NBC hit Friends. He had been open about his struggles with addiction over the years.

What we know: According to the plea agreement, Sangha worked with Fleming to distribute ketamine to Perry. On Oct. 28, 2023, Perry's personal assistant injected the actor with at least 3 shots of ketamine provided by Sangha. Those shots caused Perry's death.

What’s next: Sangha will face a sentence hearing in the months to come. She faces up to 65 years in prison.
