Naked Burglar Found in the Shower Drank Champagne Before Being Arrested at Gunpoint
There are champagne problems, and then there's this guy: A 25-year-old man was arrested at gunpoint Thursday night inside a home in Joshua Tree.Michael Calvert was found naked in the homeowner's bathroom, according to L.A. Now, "while he lathered up in the shower," adds the Associated Press.
The investigation so far by the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department reveals that while Calvert was inside the home, he really made himself comfy: Calvert "helped himself to some food, downed a bottle of champagne and then took a shower," said Sgt. Jason Radeleff of the Morongo Basin sheriff's station.
And why did Calvert break into the home? Because "his feet were hurting him." Naturally!
Calvert was arrested and booked on suspicion of residential burglary; he is being held on $25,000 bail.
