50-year-old Andrea Perry of Palmdale was the single mother of six children, all under the age of 12. Sunday morning, when her children went into her bedroom to wake her up, they found Perry stabbed to death in her bed, her face covered with a blanket, according to KTLA.

Now homicide detectives with the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department are hoping to speak with Perry's boyfriend to see if he was in the home, along with all six of the children, when Perry was murdered.

Reports indicate that some of the children pounded on Perry's bedroom door, and were alarmed when she didn't respond.

The LASD is asking that anyone with any information about Perry's death contact the sheriff's homicide bureau at 323-890-5500.
