Well, we can help you with that. Mel Gibson went to the El Segundo Police Department last night to evade "the prying cameras of the paparazzi," so he could "be fingerprinted and booked in connection with his misdemeanor battery conviction," reports LA Now. He got there at around 9:30 p.m. and was out about a half-hour later. Gibson needed to be fingerprinted as part of his "no contest" plea entered last Friday in the misdemeanor case regarding a physical struggle with his ex-girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva.
He "was sentenced to 16 hours of community service and 52 weeks of counseling ... along with 36 months of informal probation," notes TMZ, whose "exclusive" mugshot is the one the LA County Sheriff's Department released to the media this morning.
