A home invasion robbery that took place late last night in the Hollywood Hills has left the homeowner shot and in critical condition, with four suspects in police custody, according to abc7. Police say "several men entered a home in the 8100 block of Mannix Drive at about 1:40 a.m." and during the course of the invasion both "the homeowner and an animal in the home were shot." After the suspects fled the police pursued them by car, and the "dramatic" chase "ended with a crash in Mid-City at the intersection of Pico Boulevard and Hauser." The victim is listed in critical condition, and the authorities are investigating the crime in the Hills.
