Clerk Asks Armed Robber 'Are you serious?' (Turns Out, He Wasn't)
One Santa Ana retail worker lucked out when he kept his cool during an attempted robbery yesterday afternoon. The clerk behind the counter at Game Geeks was confronted by a would-be robber armed with a knife, according to the OC Register, only instead of handing over the cash as demanded, the clerk first asked the robber "Are you serious?" and then proceeded to pick up the phone and call the cops. Rather than continue, the robber gave up and fled the store. Authorities in Santa Ana are looking for the suspect, who, despite assuring the clerk he was "serious," about his demands, turned out to be not so serious about his crime after all.
