DUI Checkpoints in Echo Park & Encino Tonight
It's the weekend and you know what that means. Yes, the LAPD will be conducting DUI checkpoints in various neighborhoods. While they announce some locations, they don't have to announce them all. At least two checkpoints will occur tonight. In Echo Park, a checkpoint will be set up at Glendale Boulevard and Berkeley Avenue from 7 p.m. to 12:30 a.m.
In Encino, one will be run between 8 p.m. and 2 a.m. along Ventura Boulevard between Densmore Avenue and Haskell Avenue.
Earlier this year, LAPD Chief Beck spoke to LAist about why they publicize some checkpoints.
