DUI Checkpoint in South L.A. Tonight
A Friday night tradition in Los Angeles, the LAPD tonight will hold at least one DUI checkpoint in the city this weekend. They do not have to announce all checkpoints, meaning there could be more out there. Moral of the story? Never ever drink and drive. Tonight's announced checkpoint will be in Windsor Hills along Slauson Avenue between Buckler Avenue and Edgemar Avenue (map) from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m. Statewide in 2008, 7,801 people were injured or killed during the summer months.
