Dead Woman Found Bound, Gagged In Back of Vitamin Store

Police are calling the Thursday afternoon robbery of a Huntington Park vitamin store "brazen," since it took place in broad daylight, but it also claimed the life of a woman inside the shop.
The victim was discovered bound and gagged in the back room of Global Nature, and police are working to learn her connection to the business. She was the only person on the premises when authorities arrived on scene at around 6 p.m., according to City News Service.
The woman appears to have been strangled, however the coroner will determine the cause of death. Her identity has not been released, but she is described as a Hispanic female in her 30s, possibly 40s.
Investigators believe the robbery was the motive for the killing; they "found the cash register drawer open and empty," notes KTLA.
