Cops Release Video of Stabbing Attack Near Paramount Studios
The Los Angeles Police Department have released surveillance video showing the stabbing of a 25-year-old Hispanic woman that happened the night of April 19th, 2011, near Paramount Studios. The LAPD say that the victim was walking on the sidewalk in the area of Melrose Avenue and Irving Boulevard when a man pushed her to the ground and stabbed her multiple times. The man, described as a white or light-skinned Hispanic, fled the scene after the attack, and left the woman as she screamed for help.
The video shows the suspect dressed in a white, hooded sweatshirt, dark shorts and white shoes. The LAPD hope that someone who sees the video will come forward with information about the crime.
The victim was taken to the hospital, and is in stable condition. The LAPD do not have a motive for the attack.
