Bump, Push, Dance and Stab: Fight Erupts at Venice Beach Drum Circle
A man in his twenties was stabbed twice in the chest with an unknown object last night during a fight that erupted at the Venice Beach Drum Circle, according to the Daily News. The victim was one of those playing the drums, according to a Los Angeles Police Department sergeant, who said he did not know what prompted the fight, but that it is typical behavior for participants in the weekly drum circle to "bump, push, and dance."There are no suspects in the stabbing, and this week's incident is similar to a stabbing that took place among the drum circle onlookers last weekend. The LAPD note that people in attendance "don't want to get involved" with the investigation following the stabbing.
Yo! Venice has footage from the scene as the emergency responders arrive, as well as interviews with LAPD personnel.
