Blood Trail Leads to Arrest After Broken Beer Bottle Brawl
Four men became involved in a bloody mess Saturday night when they got into a fight using broken beer bottles as weapons.
The incident took place near Seventh Street and Columbia Avenue in the Pico-Union neighborhood at around 10:20 p.m., according to City News Service. Two men who had just purchased some beer were confronted by two other men, who used broken beer bottles to stab them.
One man was stabbed in the neck, creating a gushing wound, while the other was struck in the back near his spine. Both victims were hospitalized, but their names and conditions have not been released.
Authorities with the Los Angeles Police Department say officers were able to follow a "blood trail" to the apartment of one of the two suspects, and put the man under arrest. The second suspect remains at large, but police say they know his identity, so "it's just a matter of time," until they haul him in.
