A young boy riding a bicycle with his father in a Norwalk park was shot in the torso Wednesday evening. An argument between two men outside the Holifield Park ended in up to three gunshots, missing the intended target, according to ABC7. The 7-year-old boy is expected to recover follower a surgery. The suspect escaped and there's no description of him available. "You would assume somebody knows at least something, and considering the fact that it is a 7-year-old boy that was a victim in this case, which is particularly unfortunate, we would certainly appreciate any information," Lt. Bill Evans of the L.A. County Sheriff's Department told the news station.

The shooting was possibly gang related, according to the LA Times. Anyone with information on the shooting was urged to call the Norwalk Station at (562) 863-8711.
