Following an attempted day-time assault in Griffith Park, the LAPD is warning joggers to be on the lookout. The attack was reported at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, CBS reports. A woman noticed she was being followed on a hiking trail to Dante's Peak by a man. She said the man started speaking to her in Spanish, then punched her and attempted to grope her. She pushed the suspect away and he fled.

LAPD spokesperson Richard French said, "She was able to get away from him. At this point, it does appear to be an attempted sexual assault."

The woman was not injured. The assailant is described as 30-something Latino male, who is about 5'7" and 150 lbs. with a mustache. He was wearing a grey shirt, jeans and carrying a black backpack.
