Sunshine and cool weather for SoCal heading into the weekend

Good morning and happy Friday! Our late winter storm is on its way out, ushering in some sunshine and warmer weather ahead of the weekend. Any lingering rain will hover over the Inland Empire valleys and mountains this afternoon.

Look for a partly cloudy morning followed by afternoon sunshine and mild temperatures for most areas.

For L.A. County from the coasts to the valleys, temperatures will range from 57 to 65 degrees.

In Orange County, coastal areas will reach up to 61 degrees, and between 57 and 63 degrees for the inland areas.

In the Inland Empire temperatures will be cooler, with highs between 53 and 62 degrees with a chance of showers in the afternoon. The San Bernardino and Riverside county mountains will be chilly, with highs from 32 to 42 at higher elevations, and in the upper 40s at the lower elevations.

In Coachella Valley, expect another cool day, with a high of 61 degrees. Tonight's lows will drop to the upper 40s.

Looking ahead at the weekend, temperatures will be in the mid 60s to around 70 degrees on Saturday, and in the low to mid 70s on Sunday.
