Your SoCal Weather Report For Monday, Oct. 9: Cooler, Warm Week Ahead

Today's weather brings you cloudy mornings and afternoon sunshine.

Along the coast it will be significantly cooler compared to the rest of Southern California, with highs in the low 70s and in the low 80s in downtown Los Angeles.

Valley highs in San Fernando and Santa Clarita will reach up to 91, but stay in the mid 80s in the San Gabriel Valley. More inland in Riverside and San Bernardino counties, highs will be in the upper 80s, including Orange County inland areas. For Orange County coastal areas, it will be cooler in the low 80s.

Over in the high desert, you can expect temperatures to reach up to 88, but in the low desert, it's pretty hot at 102.

On this day in 2013, winter came early and between 2 to 6 inches of snow fell at elevations about 6,000 feet, including at Big Bear.
