This day in history

Things to do
A Holiday film classic is hitting the stage once again beginning today through the New Year:
- Love Actually Live: The multimedia concert celebration of Richard Curtis' beloved film returns to the Wallis, in time for the holidays — and the film's 20th anniversary. Actors, singers and a live orchestra perform soundtrack faves including “Christmas is All Around,” “Trouble With Love," and “Both Sides Now.” Rex Smith returns as Billy Mack, the character played so memorably by Bill Nighy.

We rely on donations from readers like you to stay independent, which keeps our nonprofit newsroom strong and accountable to you.
