Happy Friday and happy Latin American Mother's Day! Enjoy a quiet weather pattern this weekend with morning low clouds and mostly sunny skies in the afternoon (that means bring a sweater for the morning, but sunscreen for the afternoon).

  • Mountains: 60s - 70s
  • Inland: 70s -80s

High temperatures today along the beaches will be in the lower 60s, up to the mid 70s for the inland coast and the Santa Monica mountains with light winds.

In the valleys expect highs in the 70s, up to the 84 degrees in the warmest parts of the San Fernando Valley and the Inland Empire.

The high desert will see daytime highs between 75 to 85 degrees, and up to 96 degrees in Coachella Valley.

Tonight there will be some clouds with lows in the 50s. This weekend you can expect similar weather with little changes.

  • Venice Art Walk + Auction: The annual Venice Art Walk + Auction is in its 45th year, raising funds for the Venice Family Clinic, a nonprofit community health center, and showcasing local artists to the community. Light and Space movement pioneer sculptor Fred Eversley is featured alongside dozens of other artists, including The Simpsons animator Matt Groening, architect Frank Gehry, and L.A. icon Ed Ruscha. The show is free to walk through daily from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Works are available to view and bid online through May 19.
