A wet weekend will give way to a dry and warm week ahead in the Southland, likely lasting into next weekend. Low clouds and foggy weather should affect parts of the coasts and valleys in morning and evening hours for the next week.

Inland temperatures will be in the comfortable low 70's during the day with a low of 50 degrees come sundown.

The mountains will see highs will hit between the mid 50s to low 60s in the day, and lows between 40 and 50 degrees in the evening.

But it's the inland deserts that will start to feel the heat again with a high around 80 degrees expected today and a low averaging around 60 degrees across the Coachella Valley.

Temperatures near the coast should fluctuate between the mid 60s to low 70s during the daytime, this morning and in the evening low temperatures should be expected to hit around 50 degrees.

Small Craft Advisory

A small craft advisory will remain in effect until 3 a.m. Tuesday from Point Mugu near Oxnard to Point Piedras Blancas up near Hearst Castle due to lingering hazardous winds and sea conditions. The small craft advisory will last until 3 a.m. Wednesday between Point Sal and San Clemente Island.
