All evacuation orders and warnings have been lifted for the Ridge Fire burning near the L.A.-Kern county line.
The fire started at 3:02 p.m. near Gorman School Road in Gorman, according to authorities, and grew to 1,000 acres in less than two hours, briefly shutting down the 5 Freeway Friday afternoon.
As of Saturday evening, the 1,108-acre fire is 54% contained, according to L.A. County Fire Department.
