Body Found In Cab Parked Outside Burning Home, Suicide Suspected

A man's dead body was found this morning inside a taxi cab parked outside a burning home in San Dimas, and authorities believe the victim committed suicide.
The body was discovered early Monday morning in the 400 block of South Lone Hill Avenue, said Sgt. Allen Smith of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's San Dimas Station, according to City News Service.
The deceased male was positioned in the front seat of the vehicle, and had suffered what appeared to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound. After speaking to neighbors, authorities believe the man worked as a taxi driver, and lived inside the home that was heavily damaged in the blaze.
Motive of and cause for the fire and shooting remain under investigation.
