A woman plead no contest today to charges related to an incident where she bashed a guy over the head with a wine glass. The apparent strangers dining at a restaurant had just gotten into an argument about whether it was okay for him to admit that he just wasn't that into blondes. The woman in question is Anastasia Atwil, 40, and (for what very little it's worth) she is a brunette with blonde highlights. Yesterday, she was in court pleading no contest to misdemeanor assault charges, according to Santa Monica Patch.

The wine glass-bashing incident happened back in December at a sushi restaurant in Santa Monica. Her victim Steve Noble testified that he made a comment about "not having an affinity" for blonde women to two other women at his table (we don't know their hair colors). He said that Atwil butted into the conversation and told Noble that he shouldn't generalize. The conversation got pretty heated. Atwil walked away and when she came back, she slammed the wine glass over Noble's head without saying a word. She fled the scene with a male companion.

Atwil was placed on probation, she will also have to complete 200 hours of community service and she must stay 100 yards away from Noble, Patch reports.
