Brown's State of the State Tonight, Pre-Synopsis: We're Broke!

Oh, hey, California, guess what? We're broke! That's expected to be the core of the message of Governor Jerry Brown's State of the State address tonight, which will be delivered before "a joint session of the Legislature at 5 p.m.," notes CBS2. Brown's state budget includes deep cuts aimed at bridging California's billions-deep budget gap. "The governor is expected to ask voters to extend temporary sales, income and vehicle taxes," to help fill the state's coffers, adds abc7. Local networks will air the address during their 5 p.m. news broadcasts.
