Beverly Hills Investment Banker Charged With Smashing 75 Windows

An investment banker in Beverly Hills is being brought up on charges befitting an overgrown Dennis the Menace.Michael Steven Poret, 58, is being charged with smashing more than 75 windows in Beverly Hills and the San Fernando Valley for six months, according to a release from the District Attorney's office.

Prosecutors say that with his slingshot and an array of weapons, the investment banker at UBS caused between $65,000 and $125,000 worth of damage mostly in broken windows. Earlier, it was reported that his targets were random.

Poret is being charged with 6 felony counts of vandalism, five counts of possessing an array of weapons and one felony count for possessing meth. He was arrested on July 3 after he vandalized a home for the second time.

Poret is scheduled to appear for his arraignment on September 28 in Beverly Hills Superior Court. If Poret is convicted, he could face up to 10 years behind bars.
