The remains of missing 17-year-old Anyssia Katherine Escamilla were found yesterday at a Corona landfill, according to LA Now. Escamilla was reported missing in May, but soon after her boyfriend, 18-year-old Jesus Avitia Jr., claimed he had killed her and put her body in the trash. Since his admission, "Avitia has pleaded not guilty to two counts of murder and is being held on $2-million bail." The remains were found after a 70-day search of area landfills. At the time of her death, Escamilla was about 3 months pregnant with Avitia's child, and had a 3-year-old from a previous relationship.
