The body of a man who had gone missing earlier this week was found in Echo Park Lake on Saturday.Eastsider reports that authorities were called to the lake around 10:50 a.m. on Saturday, after a body was discovered by park workers.

This morning, Capt. John Kadis from the county coroner's office confirmed with LAist that the man has been identified as 27-year-old Ramon Piche Beltran of Los Angeles. Kadis said they have yet to conduct a postmortem examination, so cause of death is pending.

According to a Facebook post, Beltran had been missing for 3 days, and was last seen on the north side of Echo Park. On the morning of April 20, a friend returned Beltran's bike, bag, cell phone, and shoes. A GoFundMe page has been set up for Beltran's family.
