Beck - "Nausea"
There used to be a time when MTV would go crazy for the latest Beck video, and they should've, his music and his visuals were always cutting edge.
But then something happened a few years back and the golden boy decided he was going to follow in the moonwalk of Gordon Lightfoot and Don Henley and "keep it real" with the sad tunes. LAist liked the early experimental jet trash shit when he has crazy squeals and dolls talking and bizarro lyrics that made us wonder if it was a good thing or bad thing to be a monkey in the time of chimpanzees.
LAist even remembers there being special edition LPs that had been watercolored by Beck over at Rockaway Records for less than $20. We don't even wanna know what they're selling for now because we saw them, we wanted them, but we just didn't think that... well, we just didn't think. Maybe we were just obsessed with Nirvana too much at the time.
Anyways, here's Beck's new video for his new single, which he will probably bust out with at the LA Weekly Detour Festival this weekend.
After the jump, a sweet melding of South Park with "Loser"... ah the kids.
