A Bald Eagle Laid An Egg In Big Bear, Live On Camera

Update: A secong egg has arrived! According to the San Bernardino National Forest Supervisor's Office, the egg was laid just past 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, as thousands of viewers watched live.
Parents Jackie and Shadow are still living their best eagle lives on camera, as they incubate the eggs and wait for hatching day.

The miracle of life was on full display earlier this week when a bald eagle in Big Bear Valley laid her first egg of the year live on camera.

The eagle, known to the world as Jackie, dwells in a nest with her mate, Shadow, that overlooks Big Bear Lake. Friends of Big Bear Valley, a nonprofit organization whose stated mission is to preserve the area's habitat through education and advocacy, installed a camera to monitor the pair:
Jackie's egg-laying journey was watched by a rapt audience, many of whom shared their reactions on Facebook. Those reactions ranged from awe:
Oh my god !! I am so excited. This is amazing. I started watching last year right before they hatched. I have been hooked every since. I am so in love with this family.💜

Fans of the feather have since been watching as Jackie and Shadow continue to spruce up their nest, and as Shadow is left alone for his "first nest duty."
