Attention Taco Lovers: Guisados Has Opened Downtown
Freshly made tortillas, stewed meats and braised vegetables, and aguas frescas. These are the things you can expect at Guisados' third location that launched on Monday at the Spring Arcade Building downtown.
The taqueria, which has other spots in Boyle Heights and Echo Park, is known for whipping up tacos with succulent and flavorful fillings from tinga de pollo to cochinita pibil and mole poblano. And they also cater to the vegetarian and pescatarian crowds with some friendly offerings from sauteed mushrooms to shrimp. And don't get us started about their horchata and juices.
The Spring Arcade Building is a having a revival of shops and restaurants in a similar vein as Grand Central Market downtown. Royal Clayton's has plans to relocate there as well.
Eater LA reported that the folks behind Guisados are working on getting a conditional use beer and wine permit.
Guisados is located at 541 S. Spring Street, Unit 101, downtown, (213) 627-7656
