The driver behind a crash that left nearly 30 people injured outside a club in East Hollywood has been arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon. The Los Angeles Police Department told LAist that they believe the incident was an intentional act.

After the crash, bystanders attacked the man and he was shot and wounded. He was taken to a hospital for treatment. It was not immediately clear when an arraignment would take place.

The LAPD said they are investigating the shooting as a separate incident and ask the public with information to contact the Rampart division. The suspected shooter is still at large.
