Arson Suspect's Arraignment Postponed Until January 24
The arraignment of arson suspect Harry Burkhart has been postponed until later this month.
Burkhart, 24, is scheduled to be arraigned January 24, according to City News Service. Today a judge ordered that he surrender his passport, and that he remain jailed in lieu of $2.85 million bail.
Burkhart is being charged with 37 felony counts of arson, related to 12 fires in Hollywood, West Hollywood and Sherman Oaks. He could face even more charges as investigators look into the more than 50 fires that were set over the last week.
